Meh, am I the only one who liked the original MythBusters with only Adam & Jamie the best? When they brought these new people on, the show became overcrowded and was full of wiz-bang silly "experiments" (most of which were obvious and didn't need to be done).
Kari is smoking fucking hot! I have always had a huge crush on her!
Nah, I'm with you. Yeah, Kari is a hot nerd chick, but I liked it when it was just A&J. Too much shtick with the other guys and it watered down the whole show.
I didn't even know it was still on, I really mean that too.
I think I watched whole 1st season, parts of 2nd and then saw one or two episodes each subsequent season. Haven't watched at all in the last couple of years. The show became way too gimmicky. And it was mostly due to these three cast members who were making pointless stuff.
It was too much about them, not enough science & engineering.
That's why Discovery cut them.
After 10 years, they were getting paid too much and the audience disappeared. The experiments started looking cheaper and they reused the same locations. Plus the number of episodes a season went from 20-28 to 11 and 15. And it was on irregularly. They would have 1 episode, then nothing for 3 weeks or longer.
I'm a fan of the early show, maybe it will get back to that...possibly bring in some new blood.
Also, the reports of Kari smoking on set while pregnant were a major turn off and her voice is noticeably deeper.
That's our modern world, if something is good, they have to milk it for everything it's worth, until it just dries up and dies... They can't let anything die good, which would allow it to remain good forever...
I assume they were let go because after 10 seasons their paychecks must be getting pretty big (by Discovery Channels standards.)
I'm sorry to see them go but at least now I'll no longer be thinking the narrator is saying "Cary Grant and Tory."
This ain't Hate Club Magazine, pal!
With fake boobs
Robin, I don't understand why actors quit successful shows. They should milk their shows for everything they have got. They are never going to get gigs like that again.
The frickin' R2D2 dress is awesome!
In this case they were fired. I wonder if they'll go back to work for Jamie or some other FX company. Or try for another TV gig.
