This thread is about how your family or friends influenced the music you still love to this day.
I as a youth almost exclusively grew up on Blue Oyster Cult.
SHUT the FUCK up!!!!!!
I, to this day, still love the BOOGIE BEAST from LONG ISLAND!
Them, Sabbath, Genesis and Pink Floyd were my early influences...
All of mine too.
soft white underbelly
When I'm on the sportbike, I love listening to Journey.
Nothing beats 'Don't Stop Believing' at 120mph.
my dadz records turn'd me on to 1000s of bandz, mostly classic rock
my stepbrother waz a huge influence too, who iz an indie stoner/music snob
the rest i found on my own
Not many know who that is...I guess they played here in Rochester quite a bit...of course, I was between four and eight when that happened
Beatles, Dave Clark 5, Mommas and the Pappas, motown music, CSNY, Chicago.....this was all my parents music.
Then an Aunt came to live with us and it was Led Zepplin, War, Guess Who, Elton John, ELO, Bread, Deep Purple,,,stuff like this.
Then I turned into a metal head.

That band, ugh, puts me into a murderous rage, when I hear that caterwauling, mullet wearing she-beast "singing".
Like acid and oil, on a madman's face
she's as beautiful az a foot
I'd like to do it your daughter, on a dirt road...then I spend, your ransom money
Red and Black, it's their color scheme
Don't ask me. I don't even know how it started. Only time I ever listen to it.
Swiss Cheese Guitar
Honestly, that band, I hate it.
