I've just about had it with that piece of shit show. Every episode ends with some shit like, "You won't believe the crazy mayhem that goes down in the wildest HK EVER!!!!" Then the episode airs and it's exactly the same stuff that happens in every episode. Some knobs can't sear a NY strip or keep from serving raw sea bass. They argue and fuck up, they get kicked out of the kitchen, and someone goes home. Every single episode. Masterchef FTW.
At least in Kitchen Nightmares there are some new people and a different restaurant each episode. In HK there's basically nothing that differentiates the episodes.
That show is incredibly staged. I'd love to see a legit cooking contest with real chefs on network tv.
they have taken that shit to a new level this year -- I'm thinking of the Kimmie burn incident in particular -- but I still love the show -- I can't get enough of the yelling
yeah, it's complete bullshit to claim they become the "head chef" -- implying they will be controlling the business
i was saying in another HK thread a few weeks back, id have more respect for ramsey if he just told the chefs that none of them are worthy of taking over Gordon Ramsey Steakhouse in vegas. cause they are not
At least on Masterchef there's some creativity and artistry involved. Most of the time on HK it's even the same goddamned menu.
I would suggest that you only watch Breaking Bad, and then spend the remainder of your TV watching week in dark and silence, while you recall the Breaking Bad episode that you watched.
Anthony Bourdain once said that he likes Gordon and some of his shows, but HK drives him nuts. "Doesn't it seem like they keep picking people who aren't qualified to manage a Cinnabon?"
yea!!! who the fuck qualifies for this show and then can't cook a perfect scallop and even after 10 weeks
One of them can't do it, and another will be on camera going, "It's a scallop! It's not that hard!" Then a minute later they're the one getting thrown out for not being able to do it either.
I can't get enough of the show because of Ramsey. I love his yelling, gotta admit. But yes, the 'chefs' on that show SUCK!!! Crazypreacher, check out Chopped on the Food Network. I'm sure there are episodes online. It's a legit show where real chefs compete and try have to create inventive dishes with five mystery ingredients in each round. Unfortunately, Master Chef seems to have stolen that idea for their own show.
