The K9 is deployed from the police car when the passenger of the suspect vehicle attempts to sneak up on the deputy from behind. The Deputy observes the butt of a gun the driver is trying to get out from his waistline. The passenger door opens and the second suspect walks out and that's when the deputy hits his door release for his K9 partner to engage the second suspect.

The K9 engages the second suspect just before the suspect hits the deputy with a pipe from behind and the officer shoots the first suspect as he pulls the gun from his waist.

The Deputy returns to the incapacitated driver and removes the gun from his hand and tosses it away from the driver before going back and securing the second suspect.

That was awesome. I hate seeing vids of cops getting overpowered by fucking shitheads. That dog going after the passenger was cool.

    Awesome.

If I'm reading this correctly then, are we saying that the deputy has some sort of remote door release that deploys his K9 partner?

Not all departments have them I'm sure but it's just like a remote unlock that also releases the latch and kicks the door open a bit. The K9s can't wait to get involved.

Not so great. The late great Bianca could have taken out both suspects

Looks fake. Why was the attacker coming at the cop like a mummy and why did he get so close to the cop instead of swinging at him with the pipe from further out. It's like the attacker was waiting for the dog to come to him, as if it was staged. Some bad acting there. Maybe it's a training film?

    ????
**This video is a training video of a deputy faced with a scenario and how he reacts under tremendous stress along with his K9 partner.

Lead pipe guy looks like he has his doggy biting arm training gear on?

Thanks for the clarification, Lem. It looked to me like the officer was so fixated on the driver, I didnt think he ever saw the second perp until the K9 was already on top of him. But I certainly suppose he could have just released the dog as soon as he saw that things were starting to go south with the first scumbag.

Oh I don't know. Maybe the pup was napping. I only know that the remote open doors exist and are used in some departments with k9s. :c

It was a fake scenario to advertise the training facility and show what the dogs are capable of. The timing was a little off on letting the dog go.
I have a Shepherd that was trained for such things and it's amazing what they are actually capable of.

Why would any sane officer walk up that close to a suspect, and in the middle of nowhere?

maybe i'm stupid but I think I could take out any dog one-on-one if it was a matter of life and death. am I underestimating dogs, or possibly overestimating myself?
