Is this the same skylarbie?
Finally.... Bout time they start taking out some of these gangly white science nerds. Rip scholar
So let me get this straight....a media outlet writes an article about how the media is not interested in this case that they write about in extreme detail. Did they do their own investigation or did they gather details from other media outlets equally uninterested. Is the real problem that it hasn't been played out on national TV?
When will the potus make an offical statement?
Unarmed doesnt mean not dangerous
The media machine has become nothing more than a reality show.
You're going to emphasize the plot points that fit your narrative and downplay or ignore the ones you don't.
It's the entertainment business
I'm a student. I'm going to post a thread everyday about students doing homework. That'll be super interesting, right?
I think that's it. LA Times isn't a small operation. So it is getting attention. I think the issue is why it is t getting exploited by TV news outlets. The answer is that there is no appearance of racism with this one and as such is less salacious and thus less of a sell. Race is a much better story. What I wonder is whether technology is catching these cops or if these shootings are a relatively new phenomenon. Seems that this could have been going on in the past and people just believed the cop's story. One thing is for certain, people are dying over bullshit.
Sounds like someone panicked and shouted "gun" when he reached down for the gear shift or parking brake and then the fusilade started.
The sad truth is even worse. People seem to like this modern version of the media. They eat it up. We can blame the media only so far. If it was t turning everything into a reality show, no one would watch. Look at a the "news" outlets out there competing for viewers. They have to do something to differentiate themselves. There's no catchy catchphrase like "Shock Jock" to describe them, but that's what they are.
This. News is infotainment to sell advertising.
Seems pretty clear at this point that we have a problem with trigger happy over zealous cops. But I'm not sure it logically follows that every time a young black man is shot under these circumstances it's because the cop was racist dick. The cop may have just been a dick. Seems to be a huge push from the black intellectual left to run with the "oppressive socital racism" angle at every opportunity... without any evidence that a particular incident was in any way racially motivated. It's dishonest at best. Tough to make social changes based on a dishonest premise.
True. You can only take the blame with the media so far. If people weren't eating it up, the media would change its direction.
But the truth is people are eating this stuff up.
The racist cops storyline is compelling to the folks who think they are being oppressed as well as the protectors of the downtrodden.
Pig murders unarmed person.... Again. Not really news anymore, is it?
Dumb fuckers were targeting one of the two occupants... They had a 50/50 shot at murdering the person they were after. Their target was female. Maybe the pigs thought with only two officers, their firepower, and the element of surprise, they still be " outmanned," they were probably correct
You would think by now it would be:
"Hey, let's be careful out there. Oh yeah and try not to shoot anyone unless absolutely positively necessary".
Man, I miss this show.
What happens now is, people completely don't give a fuck if they do shout 'racist'. It's the boy who cried wolf syndrome. Save it for real racism.
Oh, a black criminal that just robbed a store was shot? You can't call that racist and claim to be sane.
Now, a black guy that was pulled over at a gas station and is shot while getting his drivers license, you can call racism.
The article says the cops' target was the 23 year old female passenger.
How hard could it be to get the girl ALONE before confronting, and putting others at risk?
