or maybe it set for their fake October wedding date...
So did they even get married? I'm confused on this part, I'm not sure they're legally married.
...howard made some comments yesterday about jimmy and mollys wedding, what they did during the ceremony and my first thought when he said it was, he doesn't have a clue on wedding customs or protocol.
If not married, you know Beth had to sign some sort of prenup. Marbles are involved.
Do rich people really have amendments in their prenup that if they're married for 5 years they get so much money if they get a divorce, & 10 years they would get more, & so on??
Dawgsaloon lawyers out there, are there really escalators in prenups?
So gay weddings were already recognized in NY state in '08?
See Stern Hamptons BRO....Ronald Perelman..the Ellen Barkin years.
She wouldn't just get divorced on the 5 year date. She'd "stay apart", "have troubles", etc first, then file for it. Probably 2014 at the earliest.
She did all this BS "love at first sight" and "soul mate" stuff for years so she doesn't want to look too obvious by divorcing right at the 5 year mark. JMO
...no doubt she will be asking for privacy in her primary residence there in the hamptons.
Yeah that Hamptons mansion is surely going to be hers. Katie Lee and her got what they wanted from these old men.
You'll find Howard setting up in Florida shortly, probably move the whole show down there. Robin can continue to dial in...
Not a lawyer. But my understanding is that prenups have evolved over the years based on court precedent. If you did a prenup today that didn't have time-based escalators, that prenup is a greater risk for being set aside by the court in a divorce case involving a long marriage.
Essentially the court views it as unfair or unrealistic that 5+, 10+, 20+ years of marriage limits a spouse to the same relatively small set $$$ value of divorce settlement as delineated in the simple prenup. Escalator clauses actually protect the wealthy/earner spouse from a potentially more costly forced settlement.
If a woman ever asked me for a payout from the marriage or this pre nup crap, I would say , "SEEEEEE YA later! Get a job!". A billion women out there, I'll go get with someone else who doesn't want my money. Marriage and love mean nothing to these people.
In Beth's case it's Escalades...
It may be in Beth's best interest to stay married to Howard. In Gold-digger years 41 is ancient. Why would a wealthy man go after 41 year old ditz when he could easily get a 24 year old ditz. Any settlement would be a lot less than what she has access to now. Howard can't say no to her. He built the Hampton's house for her which she likes to remind people is her "Primary Residence". Plus she's missed out on the really big payday...a baby. Give Howard credit for not falling into that trap. A baby would have cost Howchie beaucoup bucks! A minimum of 17% of his gross monthly income from all sources. Add to the fact that they already live mostly separate lives and have a marriage in name only. Howard's going to be 60 in six months and considering his screwball diet and his overall health problems, both physical and mental, she may come into the big money sooner than later.
beth has knowledge of howard's darkest secrets, consequently, it is cheaper to keep her
i think she's staying in until the celebrity party invitations go away and she bilks the $7,000,000 for the 6iahca shelter scam.
Beth must calculate leaving now and still being able to bear children (with a man who actually has balls) versus a bigger payoff later, maybe after ten years?
It's an interesting dilemma she has but I'm hoping that she opts to get out, has an ugly divorce from The Pelican and then does a revealing interview regarding her marriage on Imus.
If she leaves, she'd have to support her champagne lifestyle out of her divorce settlement, which would obviously be much, much less than the virtually unlimited fundages available to her now.
And she's not fucking, sucking, or even kissing him anymore. They see each other a few hours a week at most.
He buys her tv shows and gets her mentions in magazines. He gets her into celeb parties and weddings, courtside at Knick games, and invitations to red carpet events. ALL of that completely dries up if they get divorced.
The only way she leaves him is if she can land an as-rich and famous/powerful, younger and better-looking sucker.
translation: she will NEVER, EVER leave him.
It's amazing that the master shyster hasn't realized that he STILL has all the leverage in this situation. Aging, charmless whores don't really fetch much on the open market, but half-a-billionaires are always in high demand, no matter what they look like.
You'd think his shrink would point him in the right direction with that.
Howard is not stupid. OneTwelve pays him peanuts. Officially Howard can make just a couple of hundred grands. He really don't need money since everything around him is payed by Sirius/AGT/OneTwele
We still don't even know if she is really married to Howard. There was 2 weddings. One real that we have no evidence about and one fake. If they are not married explains why Beth legal name is still Ostrovsky and not Stern. Since she is not married, she can't change her name legally.
BTW. The rumoured pre-nupp is for 2 million/year that they are together. That is probably her acting fee to play Howards wife while Howard fucks Ralph, John Varvatos and John Stamos.
If Howard didn't have 3 children I would say that all evidence points to that Howard never fucked a chick.
He have said that when he dies all the money will go into a trust fund managed by "close friends" (Buchwald). Howard was so proud that his then wife/children would have to go and beg the trust to get some money.
Howard plans to take every single shekel with him into his mausoleum.
