I was surprised to see high speed computer printers in the mid 1950s..I thought these came of age much later.
What is amazing to me is that these ads are from 30-35 years ago. Now imagine what things will be like in another 30-35 years. We will look back at our quad-core i7's with 27" HD monitors, 10 megabit connections and our smartphones and laugh at how dinosaur-ish they were. And we'll laugh at our pathetic graphics and video quality and how slow and massive our computers are and how tiny the storage is.

Those were old line printers, they print a whole line at a time. Even in the 50s they could print 600 lines a minute. They are loud as **** though
