Is there anyway to repair a sinking driveway other than ripping the whole thing up and starting over again? The dents from where the wheels of one of our cars sits seem like they got worse/deeper since yesterday.

For those who are tempted to say "Just ask an expert!" - I plan to...tomorrow. Just like to get many opinions. K. Thanks.

Post some pics and I'll give my opinion.
In general you can pave over but it sounds like it wasn't properly rebared in the first place

I got a quote from some company that can pour concrete into a cracked and sinking sidewalk to make it level but the price was the same as just having it ripped up and redone. I went with just having it redone.

    Sorry haha.

But ill add that my neighbors coincidentally had his driving falling apart and he refused to tear it up and start over. So they simple put a 1/4 inch coating over the current driveway and then a sealer.

6 months later, the old driveway is starting to show in spots and its cracking everywhere. Either tear it up or leave it alone and don't waste your money.

We have a home improvement sticky in the bar :coffee: Is this concrete? Asphalt? They can slab-jack concrete pretty cheap and it look decent enough when complete. WAY cheaper than a new pour.

    In alll honest
I kid Jayla. I had to joke :D. I have no idea, but to repatch the dents with asphalt, if that's what the driveway is.

The whole thing was torn up 12 yrs ago and I assume "properly rebared" then, but who knows. Weird that a car has caused so much damage, no?

Common problem with a pretty common resolution.

Hire a professional to regrade, fill, and level the weak areas with a diqfer. Just make sure you hire someone with a good rep and that the calibration is set to positive 10 degrees to avoid a repeat of the problem down the road.

Yes it is. If it's properly poured with rebar in the foundation it shouldn't sink
