And tell us how's your news
It's fucking great man. I had a huge week with one of my best days ever. But the best part was when I went to pull a pressure test on a gas line I ran to a BBQ, the homeowner told me that the plumbing inspector asked her who did the work and when she told him it was me he said, "oh, then I don't even have to look at it." and handed her the passed inspection sticker.
And the small world story is that same homeowner is the granddaughter of the guy I worked for when I was a senior in high school.
Oh yeah, rum balls. It was nuts. I did 3 jobs on wednesday and two of them were replacing water heaters. I think I grossed around $3200 that day.
That inspector should be fired.
That's a lot of fukin clams
Guy at a country club asked me to bid replacing 4 commercial water heaters. I turned it down so I could see what Bro was cooking next.
I need my down time.
roll a joint
crack a beer
BF, on a large job like the four water heater one, would you bring in another plumber/laborer to assist you? How big were the tanks on that kind of system?
now I gotta do some stuff
The guy that manages the country club said he'd give me a couple maintenance guys to help me move the tanks. They're 75 gallon 120,000 btus each. Probably around 300 pounds a piece. It would have been a nice job but a lot of fucking work. I'm pretty sure he already got a price from the plumber that's already doing the work there and he just wants me to bid it to see if that guy is hosing him., which most likely he is.
At this point I'm only doing about 50% of the jobs people are asking me to do. Life is too short and I don't want to be the richest guy in the cemetery.
Paid day off?
Tried to talk myself out of running a gas line in a trench to a generator. I'm all, "rolling out that pipe is a two man job so you'll have to get another company." The homeowner is a friend of a friend and won't take no for an answer so he said he'll take a day off work to help me do it.
