I've never really been into video games, so I need some advice. I have two young sons, ages 4 and 6, who want a console for Christmas. For those in the know, which console would you recommend for young children? I don't mind spending the money, but I don't want to get a system that's way over their head. Is the wii a good choice? I like the idea that it has games where they move around a little. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

I would go with a Wii U based on their ages. It also plays Wii games so there's a huge library of games for them.

ya, wii is good for that age. Their motion games are easy for them to learn on. PS3 is better on the whole though and they can grow into it as time goes on plus you get the blue ray built in and better graphics card for netflix and teh like.

Can't wait for your thread in 10 years of, "My lazy, fat-assed sons, ages 14 and 16, won't get off the couch to exercise or have any social interaction with their peers. Where, oh where, did I go wrong???"

Get your kids some toys that require creativity and imagination. Don't raise faggots like everyone else is doing.

Well, a kid doesn't necessarily have to play sports. There's tons of other shit.

If money is no object you should get the Wii U and then blow their minds by also getting them the 3DS.
