I've always been fascinated by Country music artist groupies and wrestler groupies.
Are those type of female fans still around?
I imagine Country groupies are fairly common and not much different from the common music fan/groupie.

But ring rats ...what is it about wrestlers that turns them on?
The scent of Ben-Gay, soiled jock-straps and disinfectant?

I can see that ...there are a lot of younger guys and older hippies making great bluegrass.
I'd guess a lot of girls would be attracted to those types.

The current crop of Country stars of course are all making shitty pop music -not "REAL" Country, not shit-kicking, Honky Tonk or Bakersfiled-style hillbilly music.
Those hard-core Country stars of the classic era from 50s to the 70s had some scary-ass groupies ...as described in Nick Tosche's masterpiece Country: The Twisted Roots Of Rock 'n' Roll .

It had to be a star struck thing if this guy was getting any groupies.

    Goddamn.
Whenever someone mentions his name I have flashbacks of an event that occurred ...something like almost 20 years ago when I was married to my monster of a first wife.
We went to Nashville with her closeted gay brother and his not-quite-retarded boyfriend and I was forced (as in the day's itinerary not being revealed to me beforehand) to go on a goddamned two-and-a-fucking-half-hour tour of Conway Twitty's throw-back version of his Graceland-style mansion.
    I still have nightmares.
