I apologize if I'm posting this in the wrong section, so mods, feel free to move/delete if suitable. I also know I will probably get trolled by members, which is fine, but this is more of a question toward the folks who run this site. Ever since I've joined this site, I've seen a bunch of racist comments - the majority of them in the Stern forum particularly, and maybe I've noticed them there the most since that's the area of the forum I frequent the most. A lot of them are directed towards blacks, especially. When I first started seeing them, I noticed they were being made by people with fancy "VIP" or "GOLD" member tags, which kind of gave me the feeling that this type of behavior is welcomed/tolerated/expected here. I understand that the owner/s of this site wants there to be a sense of free speech and not being afraid to bite your tongue, but at what point does some of the racism go too far? I mean, I get that there are jokes, and some people just like to be witty and charming, but then there are posts I see that just scream racism. I remember seeing a thread here in the bar made by @dawg - I believe it was titled "Is dawgshed important to you" or something close that - where he stated he wanted this site to be open to all and that he didn't want potential members to be ran off or scared away because of members who were toxic. Is this something you'd want to be seen by a potential new member that could contribute to the site? At times, I get the sense that being racist on this site is almost the status quo. So to the staff/mods, why is this tolerated?
