I wonder how long Wiggy thought it would take him to fleece his fans for the 7 million? Did he give BethO and the NSAL board members a time frame? Do you think he is on track or starting to sweat because he might have to cough up some cash? What happens if he doesn't raise the money? Will he fund the project or stop talking about it and after a period of time when finally someone asks him about the project he will give the "It's around" answer?

I wouldnt be surprised if Howie has kneegrows with donation plates roaming the isles at the birthday bash looking for
handouts to fund his wife's NSAL project.

I still don't know why it's so expensive, it sounds like a kennel based on a warehouse design.

My guess is probably around $2 million. He claimed they raised $1 million in that charity event in November. Howard...umm... A private bidder did donate over $90k to be Beth's date for the Birthday Show. And then there is that other auction. So I assume he must be up to at least close to $2 million.

If Howard kicks in the money himself, they need less than $4 million. It's the cost of funds that makes NSAL such a waste.

Howie won't even match the donations because he knows that the actual construction costs after "administration/fundraising" gets its taste off the top is probably less than $4MM. Did anyone seriously think that small space expansion really cost anywhere near that much????

BTW, does anyone else think a free range animal shelter is a really bad idea? I know someone who is a cat freak and keeps adopting more and more cats and they have to spend weeks trying to get their new cat acclimated to the other cats because many adoption pets are so fucked up. How are they going to do that with hundreds of cats?

They let Beth play with the cats. How worse of a disease could they get from letting the cats play with one another?

Howard and Beth will never mention it because it would intrude on their little fantasy world but some of the cats will have to be in cages. A few will be too aggressive, shy, old, or have a disability that prevents them from being with other cats and some will have to be isolated to keep illnesses from spreading. The system works quite well at our small local shelter, new cats are caged until they can be evaluated but most end up in small groups with other cats who have similar and compatible personalities. Their rooms have cat condos, beds, and perching shelves that were made and installed by volunteers, some rooms even have a little screened-in porch so they can go outside.

You know Robin I invited some of the "volunteers" from NSAL to my birthday bash. I thought it would be "my gift to the world". :haha:

I'm sure once the "no bid" contract goes out (or went out) you'll be able to figure out why it cost so much to build. Money is most likely being funneled through friends.

    And maybe family too ?

[h=1]Cat Dentistry[/h] Maintaining a cat’s dental health is extremely important and cats are susceptible to all of the same dental problems as dogs. There are other feline specific dental diseases that cat owners should be aware of including feline stomatitis and feline tooth resporption. In addition to home dental care, it is important for cats to have regular veterinary dental cleanings and exams to assure that their teeth and mouth remain healthy and without disease. Board certified vet dentists can provide the highest level of dental care for cats.

He probably thought his 9 million listeners would collectively donate the money in less than a month. The "asshole billionaire" who kicked in a measly $500 brought him back to earth.
