I know that everyone on the show is terrified of accidentally telling the truth while the rest of the staff dutifully lies, but this question occurred to me - if Tim claimed to not know that he made the mess (and so left without intentionally leaving a room full of shit behind him) how could he have apologized? How did he know he did it? If he didn't know he made the mess, didn't even look, was in a "frenzy" (probably similar to the frenzy Artie's Hawaiian punch created which lead to Howard "not realizing" it was a drug addiction) and just exited the room, how could he implicate himself? Why would he be so defensive to the Htv new crew and the rest of the staff? It's obviously bullshit, but nobody thought to point that out. And then there's the original excuse, which was I cleaned some of it but just "didn't realize the rest of the mess was still there", so I left in good conscience thinking the bathroom was back to normal. Amazing to watch everyone just sit there and repeat the same lie over and over - "oh, Tim could never have seen the mess, he's not that kinda guy!"
