Did you hear the last album? It's all left over material - one last money grab. Snooze...
I almost posted this the other day. Its funny, because I thought, no shit, Gilmour is clearly talking just to hear himself talk . At the same time, though, kinda bummed me out. Theyre just such a one of a kind band.
It only really works with both Gilmour and Waters
I actually wasnt too opposed to Endless River. Yea, it was some raw stuff from Division Bell, but they were still some pretty well put together songs.
Perhaps a reason for its letdown for you, and not for me, is age. Given that Im only 32, and I became a fan of Floyd "after the fact," it might be easier for me to look at an album like Endless River on its own, rather than compare it to their other album....obviously Endless River doesnt measure up when youre comparing to some of the most prolific albums ever recorded.
Whats your opinion on Gilmour solo stuff? That "On an Island" album, released in like '07, really impressed me.
It's not a real Floyd album.
The title track wasn't bad, didnt really listen to the whole album.
In what sense?
That's what my ears tell me. There's no life to it.
It's elevator music.
Pink Floyd sucks
I cant really argue that, then.
I agree that it wasnt the most adventurous Pink Floyd album; definitely a step backward, in the exploratory sense. But, I thought it was an interesting work, on its own. I look at it as more of a collection of soundscapes.
Gilmour is Greatness but I've seen 3 Waters shows and they were all amazing.
The Wall twice and I saw 1 of only 3 U.S performances of DSOTM in its entirety.
Waters definitely puts on a hell of a show.
It's 2015, pal.
Nobody listens to classic rock anymore.
No offense, but You're slowly reminding me of a gradeschooler, who is clueless about music he should be aware of.
