That's funny. My dog is not racist. He came from an Alabama rescue, and it is so funny...he gets so happy when he sees a black person.
Unless that dog can pick up a phone and book himself it'll never be on the Stern show.
It's weird, but dogs can be racist.
My brother was dog sitting for a friend and took the dog for a walk. They happened to encounter a black homeless man, and the dog's immediate instinct was to take a big bite.
FYI, the dog owner (and biggest racist I've ever met) paid the hospital bill.
my boy is petrified of the haitian gardeners (i assume they're haitian...they speak some kind of weird patois)who work for the HOA but he isn't afraid of my private landscapers who happen to be hispanic (they also don't speak english and are fairly dark). why is that....unless HE BE RACISS!!!!!!!!!!!
dogs definately have feelings and prejudices....btw,
the dog in the video is adorable.
gary's got to wait for the dog to call first...
When I was a teenager, my parents adopted a Black Lab/Pit mix (from NSAL). I lived in a "mixed" neighborhood at the time and she'd go nuts every time she saw a Black person. To the point where she once escaped our fence and chased a Black dude until he jumped up on the hood of a car...and then my dog stood by the car and barked at him until I got her.
When I turned 18 I left home and took the dog with me. I took her to a behaviorist and told her the story. The behaviorist told me that it may be because dogs don't see light in the same spectrum as we do. So, a dog first handled and then raised exclusively by White people might see Black people as completely unfamiliar and, therefor, a threat.
Me, personally...I just think she was a wise dog with excellent taste.
