Good I hope it will be their biggest failure.
I can see Howard going to I-Tunes and trying to get people to pay $14.99 a month to listen to 6 hours of new programming a week. Yeah, that will work great.
i tunes is great for picking up a new song album or newly released movie. past that i could give a shit about original programing.
The new version of iTunes is a fucking mess they need to fix that shit first before they do anything else
There are too many free podcasts on the market, such as Adam Carolla's entire network of shows, that provide daily, superior content than The Wig could ever muster. No one will pay for his "show".
iTunes is great for organizing your MP3 files and playing them on your computer or getting them onto an iPod, and that's it.
There is a reason that Ralph is the only "Talent" left on 101. He is a recruiter.
The new Mac version has gotten better. I found almost all of the radio stations I listen to in StL. I like it Maybe I've just gotten used to iTunes quirks.
Yes, iTunes will be providing content.
The Stern channels won't.
Fuck Sirius once, shame on Howard
Fuck Sirius twice, shame on Sirius.
i hope they want nothing to do with him. i doubt they could come to any agreement anyway. he'd want some giant lump sum payday with apple taking all the risk. i think howard's gonna have a very hard time finding someplace willing to eat all his bullshit with a smile. unless sirius are dumb enough to sign him again, i'll bet his next part of the revolution will be literally phoned in. unless maybe he ends up back on regular radio. which would not surprise me.
Too late he fucked over so many fans he only has about 1% or less of his old Krock listeners left.
There is no way he is getting them back. He can get Stuttering John, Jackie, Artie, Billy West and KC back and I still wouldn't pay a dime to listen to it. But I would hear if for free online, at least the first show.
please pick a better source. CoM has become so commercialized that it seems as if every item they write about is paid for, and anything not paid for up front they ignore.
Listen, Howard told us he took the biggest risk of his life by leaving terrestrial radio over to Satellite, and meant it!
I was mocking the "rumors" that seem to go around. Howard is fishing looking for a bite
600 mil???? are these people on crack??
why is it that people with money still think that howard is a worthy investment
he can't return to terrestrial radio, there are ratings and he isn't willing to do the work to get them.
if howard tries to sell exclusive content for itunes (or anywhere else) he'll find out there's no interest in him anymore. i'm pretty much OK not having howard in the mornings. i moved on.
i don't like being taken for granted.
For a while there I thought Ralph was ready to jump ship to Samsung.. he even got Howard curious but with the advent of this new service on I-Tunes.. Apple is here to stay in every way lol
