...they were all listening to the history of howard stern robin. ive gained so many new fans from agt that we decided to air the new revised history of howard stern.
I can't believe that many people watch women's soccer, these are tvs left on in gyms and airports When he went against JK's NBA Countdown, that show drew similar 14 share with 8 million viewers to the Women's FIFA and that week AGT held at 2.3, 9.97share 10million viewers, so it's a consistent rating that could be sold to advertisers regardless of competiting summer sporting events. It's not a loss but its not worth incurring productions costs of NYC and Howard's salary for a decline in ratings and a steady low rating, even if it's the highest rated non-sports show for the night. I would love to know the second hour's ratings, there has to be a drop off and ads in that hour have to be cheaper When does it go live?
The steady decline for AGT continues: Historic breakdown for the episode 6 of AGT: 2008 (Hoff, Morgan, Osbourne) 3.3 rating, 12.40 million viewers 2009 (Hoff, Morgan, Osbourne) 3.3 rating, 11.69 million viewers 2010 (Mandel, Morgan, Osbourne) 3.4 rating, 11.65 million viewers 2011 (Mandel, Morgan, Osbourne) 3.4 rating, 12.30 million viewers 2012 (Mandel, Osbourne, Stern) 3.7 rating, 11.51 million viewers 2013 (Mandel, Heidi, Mel B, Stern) 2.6 rating, 9.81 million viewers 2014 (Mandel, Heidi, Mel B, Stern) 2.6 rating, 11.14 million viewers 2015 (Mandel, Heidi, Mel B, Stern) 2.4 rating, 10.60 million viewers AGT 2015 continues its run as being the lowest rated AGT season in the history of the show. The show continues its trend downward as it was destroyed by the FIFA Women's World Cup game last night. It seems the ratings for Stern and the gang seem to have stabilized as they stay around a 2.5 rating, and clearly if there is another option on TV, the key demo is going to watch that....in this case soccer. Two weeks ago it was the NBA...what is next? Who can Stern blame now? Those that think that leaving AGT was "Stern's idea" could not be more wrong. The NBC executives know the ratings are in the toilet, they know how much they pay Stern, they know how much they have to rent a theater in NYC....and they know that Simon is just waiting to bring the show back to LA and take over for Stern. The Stern idea/experiment has proven to be a disaster, as Stern is taking the show to rating depths it has never been before. The writing was on the wall....Stern had to go....and no, it wasn't his idea. 2015 ratings Episode 1 - 2.6 rating, 11.09 million viewers Episode 2 - 2.4 rating, 10.84 million viewers Episode 3 - 2.3 rating, 10.34 million viewers Episode 4 - 2.2 rating, 9.97 million viewers Episode 5 - 2.6 rating, 11.08 million viewers Episode 5 - 2.4 rating, 10.60 million viewers
a rerun of NCSI is almost parallel to AGT in ratings. That's a rerun show, so the cost to ad revenue received is so much better than AGT. NBC has to know they could get more bang for their buck with something else
7.5 million people would rather watch a repeat of NCIS than flip over to AGT. Nevertheless, these rating tell me there are millions of Americans that really need to get a DVR or join Netflix.
I am blown away by how many people watch it every week. It's just the time slot and it's on network TV They could run a way cheaper show and get the same ratings and advertising dollars, though this show does lend itself to a lot of in show product placement
What we learned is if there is something worth watching the key demo comes to netowrk TV (see womens soccer)
Can I just say that I appreciate this post? Since I don't watch this shit show and don't follow ratings, I find it very educational and it validates my prediction that Howard would fail after a few seasons.
Gee...should I watch a talented group of athletes play at a high level competition or a show with no talent and shitty judges?
Shocked they got a 2.4 but to lose to women's fucking soccer????? Hahahahahaha!!! The power of Stern!!!!!!!!!
