Jeff Bridges and RW made one if the darkest films ever - The Fisher King - the death scene at the end has always stck with me since I fist saw it. Terry Gilliam - that sick fu(k!

My tin-foil helmet theory - RW heard bridges on the show and it took him back to that dark place.

Best example I could find. Check 4:00 mark of attached

Jeff Bridges plays a "Howard-like" shock jock. Some people on here will likely argue and say that Bridges was channeling Imus or Steve Dahl. No, his look and, performance to a lesser extent, was Howard. This was circa 1990,back when Howard was just entering his prime.

All of this ignores the most important question. Can Donnie Buchs or one of Wiggy's Hollywood pals pull some strings and get 2 front row seats at the funeral for Wiggy and Beffus? Ed Bradley is one thing, but this is Robin Williams.

Of course not.....one of the great Robin Williams films EVER IMO !! It was always suggested that the character played by Jeff Bridges was loosely based on HOWARD STERN!!!!! BUT of course all they can talk about is the one film that Richard relates to.....The Big Lebowski . I doubt Howard OR Robin ever saw a Jeff Bridges film.....such phonies...
Anyway......the Fisher King is an AMAZING film......Jeff Bridges was BRILLIANT and of course Robin Williams as BRILLIANT !!!!

Could not believe Howard made this all about HIMSELF this morning when he discussed thinking about calling Robin Williams to apologize to him!!! Didn't he say this about some other recent celebrity who died???? That he wanted to get in touch with HIM TOO???? too late , Howard. You SHOULD have called him.
We're all so sad AND SHOCKED to hear he committed suicide...just awful to know he was in so much PAIN .....a brilliant SWEET Man.....loved ALL of his films....Dead Poets Society....even Mrs. Doubtfire I could watch again & again......Jumangi....terrific film.....Night at the Museum films....I love Good Morning Vietnam and he was sooooo terrifically funny in the Birdcage!! To all of u here who have not seen The Fisher King.....TRY to get a copy and watch this amazing beautiful FILM !!! I would THINK Howard Would HAVE DISCUSSED this with Jeff Bridges since it was always suggested the role he played was based on HIM !!!
BUT.......Howard is such a phony ...he probably never saw a Jeff Bridges film......did he discuss Crazy Heart???? of course not.

just a note about Jeff Bridges.....

The interview was TERRIFIC !!! BECAUSE Jeff Bridges is Amazing....I loved the way he talked.....and laughed....sounded a bit "high" at times but brilliant !!I will give Howard an A+ .....and Robin for somehow keeping her FAKE LAUGH TRACK OFF !!!! (Howard SHOULD TURN HER MIC OFF DURING ALL INTERVIEWS!!!) I'm glad they touched on the Fabulous Baker Boys....one of my favorite films!!!

    Rant over.
    Thank you

    Peace & Love

RIP Robin Williams.....'Make God & the Angels Laugh"

Yes.....watch it alone so u aren't distracted. It's a BEAUTIFUL film....amazing film. I would send u my DVD but I cherish this film in my collection and plan on watching it tonight ALONE on a rainy night (with a glass of wine)....thinking of Robin Williams....the genius that he was..... Jeff Bridges plays a "Howard Stern" type character and it was well known so for Howard NOT to even MENTION THIS FILM is totally weird.....I would have to say Will or Jason didn't do their HOMEWORK.

of course now that it is posted HERE Someone will discuss it tomorrow.....

    Thanks...luv U

    xoxoBB

    oops....sorry.....misunderstood! now I noticed u wrote "listen"........

.....the interview was TERRIFIC!!! I've watched Jeff Bridges on various talk shows ie: the Today show interview was a quick 5mins. can not compare to an hour!
I've always been a huge fan of his.....and his brother Beau.....and his Dad watched his show Sea Hunt every day !!

Forgot to mention this film.....The Mirror Has Two Faces with Barbara Streisand.....ANOTHER TERRIFIC Film.....he did touch on this film discussing working with "BABS" and that she wasn't so difficult to work with.....glad he mentioned King Kong too!!!

Just wish he would have touched on The Fisher King.....if only.....how weird things turn out that the next day Robin Williams is gone.....just shocking and so heartbreaking......

    peace & love
