'The Death Star of the movie “Star Wars” may be fictional, but planetary destruction is real. Astronomers announced today that they have spotted a large rocky object disintegrating in its death spiral around a distant white dwarf star. The discovery also confirms a long-standing theory behind the source of white dwarf “pollution” by metals.

“This is something no human has seen before,” said Andrew Vanderburg of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics (CfA) in Cambridge, Massachusetts. “We’re watching a solar system get destroyed.” '

It's quite amazing the things modern science is capable of. So if the comet hits the moon, will it have an impact on earth? Obviously it's been hit before. This comet wont destroy the moon I dont believe. But it could still have an impact. Wonder if we'd be able to see it from earth?

I was talking about that a week or two ago. If there's a miracle and people are still on earth and haven't destroyed it... they're going to have to find a new planet. I'm sure they'll have the means to do it that far into the future, but that's a crazy thought, that one day humans will have to leave earth or die off.
