I have an iPhone 4S and am out of contract right now. My phone is acting up but I can swap it for $50.....I could upgrade but I'd rather not pay $100 a month on my phone if I don't have to so what are my options? What cheap plans have good coverage?

Please answer me as though you are talking to a retarded 8 year old. TIA. :toptip:

I have boost mobile and live in a rural area.

$55 a month shrinks to 35 with on time pmts
    Sprint network
    Samsung phones

Sorry, not much of a "melter". I tend to just quietly contemplate suicide and sob when I feel wronged on the internets (and I'd like to do it with cheaper data rates). :c

You can get an Iphone on Straight Talk for $45 a month at Walmart. You have to buy it outright but you can finance it on a Walmart card for $20 month

Lots of these seem like great options but, unless I'm missing something, none of them allow me to use my existing iphone which is kind of the point. :nocheer:

If you own it, get your previous provider to unlock it for you and go to Tmobile

Tmobile coverage is shaking compared to verizon in my area...but half the price

    I have boost, too.

$55 for android shrinks to $40 with on time payments.
$50 for no frills phones shrink to $35.
(after every 6 mos. you get $5 off your bill)

Unlimited everything & coverage is pretty decent (in LA, anyway)
