Now that both movie franchises have rebooted, which one was the better movie (not the one that grossed more)?

I really don't get the hate for the Star Trek reboot.... I loved the timeline change that lets the story change but still be 'original'... Into Darkness was good, and the trailer for the next one looks pretty sweet.

    Did star wars "reboot" ?

I'm a Star Wars nerd. Even if some of the newer ones are not up to par, I love that series.

Star Wars Episode 7: The force awakens is not a re-boot. It is a continuation of a story. That's why it is called Episode 7.
With that being said, I love both star trek and star wars old and new.

What i don't understand is why Rogue One is not considered part of the original trilogy saga when it is part of the same story line really.

I hope star wars doesnt get all Xmenned out with all these spin offs and charicter origins.

EDIT: For what it is worth, i am more psyched for rogue one, after its first trailer than i was after the first force awakens trailers!

Although they made the story the same as the original Star Wars.

Not a huge fan of the first Star Trek reboot, but I can watch it.

The second new Star Trek movie, hit a huge low in my book, very shitty movie.

Star Wars reboot hit it out of the park, I like that movie.

That said, overall, I like Star Trek as a whole, better than Star Wars.

The last 2 Star Treks have been better than the last 4 Star Wars.

I'm a big fan of both originals. I was surprised that I liked the Star Trek reboots. I wasn't surprised that I didn't like the new Star Wars, or basically anything created after Empire.

Correction, the same as the remade originals. Han was still a pussy in the new one. But you're right...how many fucking death stars are they gonna base movies off of?

    I liked the prequel trilogy.

Not a fan of this latest Star Wars movie.

Not a fan of the Star Trek movie reboot. Mainly because I don't want to see the same characters rehashed.

I wish they would just start a new TV show with new cast, advance the timeline 100-200 years from where DS9/Voyager left off and have new stories.

Star Wars was a sequel, not a reboot.

True, but they did just totally copy the first Star Wars.
