I'm listening to the 9-27-05 show. Howard talked about how Bubba the Love Sponge interviewed Richard Christy's dad and it was really good. 1 minute later, Howard had Richard's dad on the phone interviewing him. I can't think of any specific instances, but I'm sure Howard had previously complained about Bubba copying him. I guess that's why they call him Hypocrite Howie.

I ended up having to fast forward through Howard's bore fest of an interview with Richard's dad. Howard and his followers were condescending the whole time. I recall he also had the Iron Sheik as a guest after Bubba.

Wasn't it Scott Farrell that first had the sheik on? Seemed like everyone on Sirius did the exact interview with him after that. Even heard a clip of Jay Thomas doing the same bit.

Those 2004-2005 shows in general were brutal.

I actually don't think I've ever made it through all of them, ever. When they aired initially I found myself tuning out a bunch, and every time I listen to old shows chronologically I fade out sometime after Janet but before the Get John's Job contest (which was decent, actually).

I liked the Get John's Job contest. I also really enjoyed the Restless Restless contest around 03-04.

Yeah, they were good. I heard them live at the time.

It's just the 3 1/2 other hours of shit surrounding those bits that I find insufferable.

"TOM, LET ME OUT, I'M DONE. I'M DONE DOIN DIZ SHOW"
    "I refuse to accept."

every half hour x 9 million.

I heard Restless Restless live too. That was a fun, carefree time in my life. I've also recently heard the Staind and Blues Traveler covers of the Beetlejuice song. I remember hearing Staind live, but forgot about Blues Traveler.

You'd be surprised how little Howard did that was original. If you bought into his bullshit, you should be ashamed of yourself. From Henry Morgan to Steve Dahl to TV shows when Howard was growing up, nothing was really groundbreaking.
