That was cool.
Which time, there were about 1000. On heroin or on Devil Dogs?
Uh huh huh...that was cool..uh huh huh huh.
Yeah, it was obviously the right call to tell him weeks after that the didn't need the 30 days of rehab, he could just do it after the show and keep being on air every day.
The thought of the studio cot and the snorecams still makes me cringe. Dictionary definition of "enabling".
But what is the purpose of this thread?
They're just fucking around. I was posting in The Bar, Chriza and Kanye were talking about how they missed Artie so much, so I said "Why don't you post in the Artie forum if you miss him so much?".
Oh bar people. Carry on citizens.
(His show's really pretty good and worth a week or two of listening; it's wildly uneven, but often contains actual funny.)
I hear that all the time and while I can kind of see where you are coming from I ask you what could they really do about it? I mean artie was lucky that he didnt have a normal job/boss and didnt just get thrown out on his ass without job like any of us would, yeah howard made jokes about it but aside from telling artie he needs to stop doing it or like I said he could fire him there isnt much else he can do. I hate howard as a person too but arties addiction is all on him no one else, he got fired from mad tv for coke way before howard so its not like howard enabled him to become a drug addict he was one already. Not to mention artie pretty much got on the show because howard thought his stories about getting high and all that shit were entertaining and drug use was a part of his persona so again what is howard supposed to do.
Not provide a studio cot, snorecam, and stream of joking commentary?
As far as I understand "enabling" doesn't mean "didn't try to cure". Of course Artie's problems are his own.
