Last day of work, babes out in their summer dresses, live Stern show to start your day out right. It's a distant faded memory. :bigcry:

Fucking shit it's depressing. I didn't even need some dumb fucking antenna to hear the show. I could be in my work truck then move to an office and just turn on the radio. I could take a transistor radio into a fucking manhole for crying out loud!

No problem, man. I've got 3 days of The Artie Lange Show banked, and about 30 other different podcasts downloaded and waiting for me to get to them. Life's good for 21st century media. :)

Nothing like starting a fucked up day by listening to Stern in the morning. Made the day easier when I started laughing at 6 am.

    Now............

    :bored:

Yes, and ANY kind of dress is so rare these days that I really appreciate seeing them. Far too many jeans and leggings on women who aren't quite fit for them.

And I have fucktons of podcasts all queued up (David choe fans really need to check out DVDASA) but there is some little bit of magic missing compared to a live show. Idk, maybe I'm just getting old.

Okay, I get that, but I stopped listening to live Stern long before Sirius; recordings made it so much easier to hear whole shows at my convenience. For commuters you could only catch a small portion of the live show, often with 20 minute commercial blocks. Live was never "special" enough to deal with that drawback.

I dug having to get up to hear the opening of the show or stalling a trip between locations at work just to hear the end of a bit. There's something I miss about that. Now I just pause to answer a call or whatever. Feels like I'm just listening to a CD while the live show made me feel like I was at a concert. Not the best way to say it but its kinda what I mean.

Okay. I still "stay in the car" to hear the end of a good bit even on podcast, so it's more or less the same to me. YMMV / TEHoHO.

Man, the feel of a Friday show...

Imagine Jackie cackling about "North West".
