I was there to see it live with 3 good friends! I sat in the 2nd ring and everything was far away, but I could still see pretty well what was going on. We drove there, parked the car, and went to a typical German bar. Great local beers for €2 a glass (they keep putting them in front of you unless you tell them to stop), and a huge dinner with bratwurst and sauerkraut for €12. Germany really is great. We instantly noticed how friendly the vibe was everywhere. People were just super pleasant, and things were orderly and clean. No migrants here yet, either, at least not in the city center (correlation? lol, probably). Took a cab to the arena. Huge place, lots of police presence, but overall chill vibe. The under-card sucked, so we mostly drank more beer until it began. We were sitting in the area to the left of where these guys were sitting. It was spectacular just to be there and feel the excitement. Quite the experience. Lots of Brits in that corner. They were super fucking loud. Rod Stewart was quite the surprise. I wonder what he got paid to play one song. Main mach was meh until the last round. Predicting the challenger would win as the only one of my friends group and everyone around me, I won €20 by winning a bet with a chick that was sitting in front of me. I wish I had put up some real money on Unibet or something. I would tripled my money, odds were 3-1. And then the guy did this. What a nut. Aerosmith??? All in all it was really, really cool to actually be there. We watched the post match interview on the TV screens in the lobby, while drinking more beer, made me really like the both of them. We took the train back. It was filled with drunk Brits, and since all of us were drunk also, we egged them on and yelled with them. "There's only one... Tyson Fury!!!" It was a party in there. Nothing but good times. We did a pub crawl through Dusseldorf. It really is a super nice city with an old center. Very friendly people. Folks drinking beer from glass bottles and glasses in the street without any problems. British fans were everywhere and very rowdy and loud, but it was all in good fun. Saw literally zero problems and zero assholes the entire night. We went to probably 7 bars that night. At the end of the night I ended up grinding on some pretty hot German chick and making out with her. No banging, but still fun enough. We all got back to the Airbnb in middle of the city center that cost about 40 bucks a person (Airbnb rules) around 5 (no alcohol cut-off until 5 or 6 in most of Europe except for the UK), got up around 11, drove home around 1. It was a great weekend. I can recommend anyone checking out Dusseldorf, it's absolutely lovely.
