kolob bless scott walker. protect him from the libtard dummys
oj is guilty of murdering nicole and ron, even though he was not convicted of murdering nicole and ron
funny how that works
You are comparing OJ/Nicole to a Supreme Court Decision?
the fed wants to prosecute people in states where weed has been voted legal.
i am saying that one supreme court ruling that obamacare is constitutional does not in fact make obamacare constitutional, only that one supreme court failed to hold that obamacare is unconstitutional in that it opens the door for congress to tax any behavior it chooses
buy a Ford or pay a $2,500 tax
live in government housing or pay a $12,500 tax
etc., etc., etc., etc.
Which is legal under Federal Law.
What's your point?
That one action which is completely legal....makes a completely illegal action....legal? Huh?
It actually does....and I am not sure what the rest of your incoherent rambling meant.
The Campaign for Liberty and others endorse a notion being promoted by conservatives called nullification that holds that under the 10th Amendment states can ignore federal laws if they choose. The 10th Amendment says: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."
Holy shit, are you fucking serious? The case-law is so very clear on this issue that I am somewhat at a loss for words as to how someone can honestly believe this bullshit.
Did you happen to miss the part that states EXTREMELY CLEARLY that enacted federal laws "shall be the supreme law of the land" regardless of whether states agree or disagree? Or how about the rest of the 10th Amendment stating the phrase "nor prohibited by it to the states"?
As the Supreme Court has noted, the main part of the Tenth Amendment is "a truism that all is retained which has not been surrendered" (United States v. Sprague, 282 U.S. 716 ).
Morons who cite Federalist No. 39 and other documents need to actually read it and stop spewing out even more idiotic shit.
but nullification is not accepted law. it is only an idea, and not a likely to be accepted idea.
if you say so, mz. Sotomayor.
Did you understand what I wrote?
You do understand that any Court in this country would probably put the lawyer who brought such a suit in contempt for wasting the Courts time?
Look justice kagan is posting at dawgs.
I take that as a 'yes'?
I'm willing to let it play out. Opinions change over time on the supreme court.
Oh my....Oh my god, did you just say that I was right? YOU JUST SAID THAT I WAS RIGHT!!!
Weed is not legal under federal law, yet the states said fuck you.
And.......what? If the DOJ or DEA wanted to go into those states and enforce the Federal Law, they have every legal right.
When it comes to this healthcare program, the Federal Government will not let any State simply do what they want....and the DOJ and others will enforce it very thoroughly
Two completely different situations that have little or no relevance to each other.
Moron's probably confusing the civil and criminal court trials.
