People had no interest in being like Ringo in 1965, let alone in 2015.

When you have mediocre talent and make a deal with the devil to end up in the most influential band in history...

You eventually have to pay the piper

What's next as a career move? Selling catheters or gold bullion investment interests on cable TV?

Didn't watch the videos, but I've no problem with Ringo. 50 years ago he hitched his wagon to a phenomenon. I would have no issue, especially if I were as old as him, with continuing to cash in on my fame.

Worry about what hard-core Beatles fans think? Would not give the slightest fuck. I'd be filthy stinkin' rich and they could bad mouth me all they wanted. I'd never pay attention to a word of it.

Okay. I watched. No changes to my original post.

He seems at ease with himself. Not kissing up to the sponsor or acting as if he is God's gift to advertising.

I saw Ringo and his all star band in concert in the early 2000s. Sure, he's no Lennon, McCartney or Harrison but he put on an entertaining show. The fan mail thing aside, he seems like a good dude.

Hell, the guy was in the greatest band of all time and married to a Bond girl. I'll give him a pass to endorse anything he wants.
