Why not Wiggy? I'm sure he'll take credit for this somehow. Fresh off a spring campaign starring Kiss, John Varvatos has nabbed another music legend for his fall ads: Ringo Starr. The Beatle will be officially announced as the face of John Varvatos's fall 2014 collection at noon PT on July 7, Ringo's 74th birthday, in front of the Capitol Records building in Los Angeles, per WWD. (A spokesperson for Varvatos did not immediately respond to a request for further comment.) He'll be posing there with fans throwing up a peace sign -- an initiative to raise money for the Ringo Starr Peace & Love Fund. For the rest of 2014, $1 will be donated to the fund for every picture shared on Facebook, Instagram, Vine or Twitter of a person holding up a peace sign with the hashtag #PeaceRocks. Starr's partnership with the brand will also feature a short film and pop-up "Peace Shops" selling a limited edition "Peace Rocks" tee (100-percent of the profits of sale of the tee will go to Starr's charity). So watch your back, Paul McCartney. Another Beatle is making an entrance into the fashion world. UPDATE: A campaign video was released this afternoon showing Mr. Starr drumming along with some famous friends like Jimmy Kimmel, Steven Tyler, Chad Smith and Jeremy Piven. Watch it below and fall in love with the Beatle all over again.
