Wow! He was ugly when he was young, but wow, just wow. RIP.

I always thought the funniest part of the "Can't Fight This Feeling" video is how Richrath has a look of disdain on his face clearly asking himself how are they performing this wussy chick ballad crap.

They were an iconic bad in the 80s.

The one to start watching is Alex Lifeson from Rush.

    He's already pushing maximum density.

Astonishing. I haven't thought about him in decades. REO was THE band that all the girls in my high school were wetting themselves over.
Time is indeed a cruel, cruel bastard.

Yeah, some of their 70s stuff was decent. I think once "Keep on Loving You" became a monster hit, they decided to attack the chick market.

First concert I ever went to....REO Speedwagon with Thin Lizzy as the opening act. June, 1981.

I might have watched the opening act and then gone home.

Before the mega-hit that was Hi-Infidelity, they were always big in the Midwest.

Some great tunes (like you do, golden country, keep pushin' and many more pre-wussy AOR classics).

Gary was a great and under-rated guitarist, IMO. He could "shred" (for a '70s guy) but his melodic phrasing was excellent as well.

Great chicken picker. Had an awesome tone on some of the 70's albums. Looks like he was eating himself to death.

Yeah, roll with the changes is their best song. I have sentimental spot for "Keep on Lovin You" just because I made out with a chick to it at a middle school dance.

Kevin Cronin....but I get what you are saying.

Also Geddy Lee is one chromosome away from Hmus.
