Will Howard address this?
This. It really is quite a bummer. That crusty old fucker wrote some great tunes. "Shiny, shiny...shiny boots of leather....."
another classic. I think I'll be listening to Lou and VU albums most of today.
what sad & shitty news
Lou was one of my personal heroes and a hero to millions of other music fans.
Now I feel bad for beating up on him in a thread a month or so back.
too bad that his legacy ends with that shitty metallica collaboration. maybe it will age well and be looked at as a classic someday.
I always liked John Cale better. That said, sad
God dammit, no joke I was listening to Berlin on vinyl not an hour ago, crazy. Guess I'll be breaking out my Velvet Underground records today. Marcia Wallace, Lou Reed.....whose next for the Stern curse?
Wow! I guess the liver transplant didn't work?
Sad news. I was never a huge fan but the dude was definitely an original.
It looks like it was some kind of skiing accident.
Lou Reed Dies In Snowboard Accident
I *heard* it was a suicide......sorry, no proof at this point.
