Louis Zamperini, an Olympic distance runner and World War II veteran who survived 47 days on a raft in the Pacific after his bomber crashed, then endured two years in Japanese prison camps, has died. He was 97.

The movie is based on the book "Unbroken" written by the lady who wrote "Seabiscuit". It was a great book and this guy was really one in a million. What he did in his life could fill up 20 people's lives.

This man came from a generation who discriminated against blacks and gay people, and he probably knew a lot of jewish jokes.

Boy, thank god we're done with losers like this guy, eh?

I 'm sure George Takei will be busy now trying to raise awareness about the torture and abuse suffered by guys like this in Japanese prison camps and death ships.

As for Angelina Jolie directing, shouldn't she try to master acting first?
