Sad news from the world of professional wrestling today as Harry Fujiwara, best known as legendary WWE Hall of Fame wrestler and manager Mr. Fuji, has passed away at age 82

While Fuji is best known for his managerial work during the wrestling boom period of the 1980s, it should also be noted that he was a 5-time WWWF/WWF Tag Team Champion, three times with Toru Tanaka and twice with Mr. Saito. In fact, Fuji’s career began all the way back in 1964 in his native Hawaii as “Mr. Fujiwara,” and he captured his first wrestling championship in 1966

Wow 82? That's a pretty good age for a wrestler. They are not known for their long lives.

    Fuck Fuji

"Mr. Fuji has no moral center at all, and is the most unscrupulous guy I have ever met in wrestling. He has no redeeming qualities at all, is a trouble maker, and just wants to pull ribs on people. Meanwhile, he has five different wives, kids everywhere, and takes care of none of them. As soon as he got to Georgia, he and Professor Tanaka opened up a seafood restaurant in Clayton, and the business flopped. Then, one day, it just “happened” to burn down. I was sure that Fuji torched the place, and I was so tired of his games in the dressing room that I told him I couldn’t deal with him anymore and let him go". - Gary Hart

"I flew to St. Louis to meet with Vince at the Kiel Auditorium, and as soon as I walked into the building, Mr. Fuji approached me and loudly asked if I had any marijuana with me. I just looked at him and calmly said, “Fuji - you know I don’t bring that stuff to the arena.”- Gary Hart

Let me tell you how brilliant Mr. Fuji was as a manager. He took a Samoan fat guy named Rodney and said "Samoans are cookies. Cookies don't win championships you fat fuck. You now Japanese." Newly Japanese, Rodney was taught the ancient ways of the Sumo. Mr. Fuji knew that the ferocious competitors in WWF would be blindsided by this unfamiliar fighting technique. Rodney mastered the ways of the Sumo -- through eating, training and playing as E. Honda in Street Fighter II. Fuji says "henceforth you shall be known as Yokuzuna."

Yokuzuna took WWF by storm. He won the WWF championship and was a fine champion until cheated by notorious racist Hulk Hogan -- who couldn't stand a proud Japanese man being champ.
