Rick Majerus was a blue collar college Basketball coach that went against the grain. He coached small time kids into big time situatiouns. He was reputation was that of a motivater. A guy that made little people believe. He will be sorely missed. I think what seperated him most from the modern day NCAA B. Ball coach is that he actually gave two shits about his kids. You will be missed Coach. RIP

one of the good guys in coaching, alot of them take them selves way to serious, this dude could laugh at his self and not take basketball so serious, he could win without the superstars because he understood the game of basketball and how to play a team game, unlike the dukes or north Carolina or Kentucky's who get all the top talent and still don't win it all every year!!!

He was the best coach the "Running Rebels" ever had. Remember how he used to chew a towel on sidelines.

His obit made him sound like a good guy - I wrote him off after seeing that he used to coach at Utah and thought he was yet another white supremacist, homophobic, intolerant, hypocritical Mormon scumbag like the rest of the state. Maybe that's why he didn't last there - "The Elders" saw him hanging out with negros....

Yeah, I don't understand the need for a second thread either. If the OP thought it belonged/belongs in both, why not make it global? Are there restrictions on which threads can be global?

I don't get the need to duplicate threads. It's a waste of database space.
