I've always been able to ignore her cackling during interviews in the past, but with the Tarantino interview it was so bad I had to change the channel. I listen to show very sporadically anymore so let me ask you guys: Has her cackling gotten worse since she's been doing the show on the phone? It seems to me she's trying hard than ever to say to the guests, "Notice me! Notice me! NOTICE ME!!" and since she's not in the studio anymore she cackles louder than ever.
They just get uncomfortable when an outsider is welcomed into Howard Stern's Alternate Reality Bubble. They're just trying to get through it with their ego unscathed.
Same here, all the cackling and talking over people was unbearable and her microphone was way too loud. I had to turn it off, the show would be so much better without her.
It was ESPECIALLY bad during that interview. I heard it on the replay. I think since Tarantino was laughing too, it just led to Robin being more obnoxious. The cackle was cringe worthy that day. I was waiting for Howard to tell her to shut up, but that would never happen.
Howard controls mic volume.....Robin had the loudest mic that day. If you listen to old KROCK shows robin is always babbling but Howard and the guest had louder mics and they could easily ignore her most of the time.
I also think her meds play a factor. You can plainly notice a spike in her energy level when they kick in. Maybe Howard is not hearing it. It's getting god damn annoying.
