From the start of the show, when Howard stated that Robin is at work despite the "problems" she has, ( in reference to Gary being away), to the phone call she took around 9am from the hospital and had to go off air to talk, it now seems that our worst fears may be true. I hope she gets well soon.

I thought the same thing, what would they be calling about besides scheduling chemo or an MRI

Haven't listened yet, but that sounds bad. I doubt we learn the truth until she is actually dead.

I'm sorry she's sick, no one wants THAT. (be nice)

But will she ever divulge what it is? I know it's her personal business, but do you think they'll continue to skirt the issue indefinitely?

Just a generic "long term illness requiring treatment at home".... anything. :(

    something has to break
the show is so horrible right now, it needs something really big to shake it up and Shuli in the Jackie chair isnt it
If Robin croaks, it will breathe a little life into the show

Whatever ails Robin, it makes no sense to keep it a secret. We know she was sodomized by a stranger in the stairwell of a random building, employed the services of a horse psychic & fucks herself with (non-French, organic) vegetables. Would admitting to a 'challenging' prognosis be worse?

Howard's the one who made the order to keep this under wraps, just as he did with the last show related tragedy (artie).

Howard simply wants to coast these last few years with the least amount of tumult.

While Robin obviously has a healthscare and is recieving treaments I don't think it's life threatening. If she was fine, no way in hell would Howard be paying her visits.

She probably looks worse for wear though, hence there have been no pictures

Funny that none of the news outlets care or have reported on it. :D

When asked, the reporters say " Robin Who"?

I wonder how Howard always seems to keep quiet stories about him.. either he rats on other celebrities to the media "I'll give you this story if you kill the story about me" or he pays them to lay off..

Add to this Howard's requirement to be the center of attention. He can't be bothered with all the well wishers fawning over someone else. Asshole.

He and Buchwald do both, I think (trade and payoff stories). Remember how he recently had Perez Hilton in and was on the phone with his "guy" from TMZ?

TMZ recently did that story on Miss Howard Stern's DUI, that seemed like a total "trade off."

The only guy out there that he doesn't have a piece of his Nik Richie from TheDirty.com, but his demo doesn't even know (or care) about Howard, let alone Robin. TheDirty's demo is way too young

The strangest part is how open they were about it in the beginning, joking about her "piss bag", having a mass in her abdomen and mentioning that she needed surgery etc.... then a total blackout on information. Why be so open and then shut down completely?

    exactly. it's weird.

Maybe she made it clear she did NOT want her illness to be a daily topic of conversation, being made fun of, like Artie's heroin addiction. :dontknow:

I don't get that either...people keep saying "it's her right to keep it private" which I get, but she was very open about it at the beginning.
