I have a friend who has ovarian cancer and whenever she gets chemo she loses all her hair. Robin is able to do the show via the ISDN line because all she needs to do is get her energy up for 12 hours a week (8 hrs this week). Not such a big deal. My friend was always upbeat and sounded fine - if you didn't see her and see how pale she was and the baldness you'd never know she had cancer.

    I think Robin has cancer

I've been at a hotel in NYC and haven't been listening to the show since last Friday....robin is still AWOL??????? That's certainly not too encouraging. Amazing that there's no explanation!!!!!!!!

Howard's life really is imploding....lawsuit, Bianca, John Malone, dismal agt ratings. What next? Could it be divorce??????????

    ...got me curious

[h=3]How long is the recovery after lap band surgery?[/h]
Recovery varies with each individual. However, in general, LAGB offers a shorter hospitalization and quicker recovery than gastric bypass procedures. In general, most people can return to work 1 week after surgery (if their job is not too physically demanding). Normal activity can usually resume after 6 weeks.

some hilarious poster said she has 4 stomachs, that's why her recovery is taking so long.

She's already lost most of her hair, this might be a good way for her to shed a few of those pounds.

A full on hysterectomy takes a minimum of six weeks to heal. And with her advanced age it could take longer.

Not to mention the likelihood of gunt-related complications.

(Overheard in the operating room: "MY GOD DOCTOR, I'VE NEVER SEEN ONE THIS SIZE BEFORE!")
