Elon Musk announced this week that an OTA software update to Tesla cars will give them all autopilot capabilities on highways by June. So.... more texting while "driving"?

If I could buy a female humanoid robot for less than $1,000US that looked the way I want and would do anything I wanted, I'd buy one, maybe more than one.

If that time ever comes, mankind will end in one generation. Who would want to put up with all the headaches from having a human wife or girlfriend?

I'm sure the women would say pretty much the same thing about men.

I think the first thing they replace are pets.
I think they will be the iPhone of pets, we won't be able to remember when we had shedding, pooping, costly vet bill, unpredictable real pets.
Robotic pets will be rage of this gluten-free, on-demand, helicoptered-parented generation and it will be timely for anyone of the dog-eating Asian cultures that take over the world.
The only thing that could stop The Singularity, is the Mexicans, they are the true souls of humanity on this planet and the only culture that is forged in the fire of their Aztecan ancestry to fight our soon to be robot overlords.

    There's a motionless tree
    And another one coming forward
    A river of trees
    Hits my chest
    The green surge
    Is good fortune
    You are dressed in red
    You are
The seal of the scorched year
    The carnal firebrand
    The star fruit
    In you like sun
    The hour rests
    Above an abyss of clarities
The height is clouded by birds
    Their beaks construct the night
    Their wings carry the day
Planted in the crest of light
    Between firmness and vertigo
    You are
    Transparent balance

When the bots become cheap and efficient enough to widely replace unskilled labor, we will be in for some interesting times.

I seriously don't know what happens to earth in 100 years. Real chance we will have conquered death. Real chance that computers will virtually do every job. Real chance we will run out of natural resources.
