Last week they talked about a few good Rock Docs available .....I watched The Eagles Doc which was AWESOME! and am now watching the Journey one...which is good. They mentioned a few other bands, Rush and I cant remember the other ones, one was about a metal band where the lead singer almost dies or something? Penetuary? something like that?

    thanks in advance

I saw a documentary recently called "Sound City" which focuses on a particular recording studio and all of the top musicians that recorded there.

    Very well done.

    You may like it.

The one that is running on David Bowie on I think Showtime is pretty good. Anvil was great even though I knew nothing about them going in. Some Kind of Monster was great even if you do not like Metallica. Boy, are they a dysfunctional group. Gimme Shelter and The Last Waltz are great too.

You're probably thinking about Last Days Here about Bobby Liebling and the band Pentagram. Classic, but relatively unfamous metal band. Good doc, but depressing.

I'm not a huge Cobain fan, but this was a very interesting movie.

there are a bunch of documentaries about the history of heavy metal music and its spread around the world made by a guy called Sam Dunn. I don't like that type of music but I loved the documentaries
    [IMG] [IMG]
He made some others that I haven't seen:
