Yes, the Beastie's were missing their boy Yauch. But, the crazy thing was G N' R, All of them were there except for you know who. I mean everybody, everybody.
That drug addict played the drums for Christ's sake.
But no, he couldn't show up.

Again, where the fuck was Izzy Stradlin? WTF? I am pissed.

Didn't Izzy have a breakdown of some sort or just chooses to stay out of the public eye?

He did? In college he came out with Izzy Stradlin and the JuJu Bees, I loved that album.

Talking Heads are in the same boat with David Byrne who refuses to even discuss a reunion but at least he showed up to play for their induction into the HoF.

Just watched it, never saw the Chili Peppers live, but I think I might wanna catch them next time they are town.
Never cared for GNR, but their history fascinates me, so it was interesting to watch them get inducted

Do people really care about the rock and roll hall of fame?

I did a tour one summer of famous music places. Studios. Concert halls. Was a great vacation.
For me the low point was the rock hall. The only thing I liked was Johnny Cash's bus out in the parking lot.
The rest is just a big monstrosity of a building with no character and static displays.
Add in their dubious inductees, and it is about the most anti rock and roll thing I know.

Do you really want to see GnR 20 years later prance around? I think Axl made a wise move.
