[IMG][h=4]Manchester Daily Express/SSPL via Getty Images[/h][h=4]Rock Hudson spoke frankly with his wife about how he had sex with men.[/h]

She was stuck between Rock Hudson and a hard place.
The dashing actor's wife, Phyllis Gates, confronted her husband about his homosexual trysts decades before the rest of his adoring public learned that the on-screen lady-killer was gay. And without Hudson's awareness, Gates had hired private detective Fred Otash to secretly record the conversation, which he transcribed and kept in his records.
Gates begins by lecturing her husband about his proclivities. "There isn't anything glandular about homosexuality, it is only freezing at an emotional state, and it's up to the individual to grow out of it," she explained. "Everyone has to help themself, Rock."

Not that anyone asked, but I'm of the belief homosexuality is not a choice.

I have to preface this by saying this is just my opinion.

I believe that gay people are born with a genetic predisposition for homosexuality and something (we don't know what [not just one thing, but probably a constellation of events/conditions]), at some moment, causes the trait to become expressed.

What are those things and under what circumstances would the trait become expressed are unclear.

Kind of like an allergy. How is it you can eat peanuts your entire life and one day, while munching on some almonds in your living room, your throat closes up and you go into anaphylatic shock?

Or, how you mow your lawn every year, but one summer and every summer since, the grass causes your eyes to water uncontrollably and the itching makes you want to tear your eyes out?

Some people have the trait expressed at birth, or infancy or as a toddler or before they hit kindergarten. Others? It happens later.

    Just one man's opinion. :wigtip:

Humans aren't the only ones to express homosexual traits, either.

Or how about how one child, who is an identical twin, suddenly has the autism trait expressed while the other doesn't?

    http://www.cdc.gov/genomics/resources/diseases/autism.htm

If they were born identically, how come only one child's autism is expressed at one time and the other, later or, remarkably, sometimes, not at all?

It means that some other mechanism or mechanisms or a constellation of mechanisms are at work in causing the trait to become expressed, no?

I don't think EVERY homosexual was born gay. I think some people that are born gay actually lead miserable straight lives because of the stigma involved. Conversely, I think there are people that live gay lives that weren't born gay, but have had certain life experiences that got them involved in the gay lifestyle. Had they not had those experiences, I do not believe they would have been gay. So, I think there are "fake" straights, and "fake" gays.
