Many Bothans died to bring us this trailer.
Anal in a galaxy far away
I had to do a double take at Mon Mothma.
Nevermind. They missed the freckle on her neck. Hopefully they will address that in post or I'm out.
Really interested to see the reaction from the hardcore Star Wars fanboys in response to this.
Im guessing they are gonna start cranking these out at superhero movie speed.
The plan is like the winter/summer olympics. They are going to alternate years with a stand-alone/spinoff movie (Rogue One, Young Han Solo, Bobe Fett) one year, and an official "Episode" movie the other.
So last year was Episode 7, this year is Rogue One, next year Episode 8, etc. etc.
Well there's one opinion.
I don't know. I kinda liked it. I'm certainly not expecting to see the Citizen Kane of sci-fi when I buy my ticket for it, but it sure looks like it might be a fun way to spend two hours.
That is sort of where my curiosity lies. Will this star wars stuff ever get over saturated, or is the fanbase so loyal that it is not possible.
I also like how these really aren't connected to the "Original" ones. These whole side shoots of "star wars stories" are almost just like what the fuck throw outs. Even if these films are the worst ever, they are separated from the core of the brand and i can't imagine any negativity from these films spilling to the original series. Who knows, what if these stories become BETTER than the originals. Would old fans despise these new ones if the youth of today favors these characters over the skywalkers?
I am also super interested to see how much marketing support these star wars stories films get.
I am super gay for this.
That short Rogue One trailer was more interesting than the entire Force Awakens movie.
I like starr wars, but am not in the same class as the real big time fans. And when i heard about these side stories, i wasn't that excited at all. The trailer made me think, "hey i could see this being kinda cool." Second thought was the lead does look just like the chick in the force awakens. And last i thought, FUCK another story about going to destroy the death star. UGH.
So i take it this is happening back during the original trilogy times? That is the other thing that usually puts me off these sorts of "same universe" stories!
I hope they show the meetings between the general contractor and the architect to help explain the whole exhaust port fiasco. Or at least give us the as-builts.
And by the way....
