BY KAZEEM FAMUYIDE Ronda Rousey made her return to Los Angeles this morning, and it looks like some of the saddest fall-from-grace videos you’ll ever see. The former UFC bantamweight champion of the world, lost a shocker to Holly Holm this past Saturday night after a furious roundhouse kick to the neck and a flurry of punches. The previously undefeated MMA superstar has been eating her slices of humble pie all weekend, and in her first public appearance since her loss, she couldn’t bare to let anyone see her face. TMZ cameras caught the movie star and athlete as she arrived at LAX with her boyfriend, Travis Browne. Neither Browne nor Rousey were up for chatting with TMZ cameras, but Rousey wouldn’t even let anyone see her face as the former champion covered up in a hoodie, sunglasses, and hair over her face. Moreover, Rousey kept a pillow to cover her face as she moved through the crowded airport. Although Rousey did vow she will be back in an Instagram post that she put up the day after her fight, she looked as despondent and depressed as we’d ever seen the once supremely confident judo expert. Even after Rousey came for Holm publicly the day before the fight, calling the new champion a “fake humility bitch,” it’s Holm who has come to her adversary’s defense. “I think people can be pretty brutal,” Holm said to TMZ Sports on FS1. “When you’re in the spot she’s in, there are people that are just going to jump ship and I don’t ever wish for that.” She added, “I have a lot of respect for her.” When Rousey is ready, Holm seems to be up for a rematch.
