I dunno, man. Every time I walk through a PC store and see the latest and greatest, I can't help but being impressed.

20 years ago we barely had color screens. Now the pixels are so small you can't even see them anymore.

Access and organize files, folders and settings through a GUI and launch programs. Prettier, faster and more stable, now obv, but at its core that, to me, is what Windows is.

Yeah, okay. But that's like comparing the Ford model T with the LaFerrari and saying it's not a huge difference because they both have wheels.

I get it's better but I kinda agree with redshirt. That was my original point. If the programs I run on windows today could still run on 3.1 it wouldn't really bother me to use it. So much emphasis is put on glitz and glamour and framerates and pixel density and most of that just doesn't matter in "computing". @JumboWop is right. Hardware and software have changed dramatically but windows in general is still the same to me. :dontknow:

Yeah ok, I see what you're saying.

They tried making it drastically different with Windows 8 and everyone hated it. People don't like too much change. Version 10 is pretty much the perfect evolution of everything that was ever good about it. 7 was already great but 10 is a productivity monster.

I agree. I loved 8 because it was tight and stable as fuck. I could give 2 fucks about the start menu. 10 is even better. I've had my 10 mac-hine powered on for months with no crashes or weird shit at all. Only reboots are on updates. That being said I only use it to host files and edit audio. I use my chromebook 99.9% of the time.

for the most part, me too. i still spend a ton of time using a terminal released in 1989 and a fair amount of time coding in a language first released in 1986. **cough Erlang cough**

    8 and 10 are excellent.
