Saw Artie do a show in Pam Beach, not far from Pelican Bay, (about ten minutes from Howards new Winter home. ) My first thought was that he didn't look well but that is Artie. He was fine and did a great show! Closed by singing his Anne Murray song, one of my faaaaaavorite (*Richard*) Atie bits ever. fiyahh! Miss the guy.

Saw him a year ago. Same exact review. His look like he has 3 months to live is kinda just his look.

I'm glad to have seen him. A few years ago would not have imagined he'd be here doing a show.

People pay $20 to see a movie in IMAX 3D. Why is it hard to believe that a stand-up show would cost $40? I guess you don't get out much?

You're right, I don't go see a lot of hacky comedians when I've got free time. So maybe you can tell me: isn't 40 bucks what you'd pay for a top-of-the-line, headliner comedian? Like, say, a Louis CK or someone like that? I have no problem with Art but I'm surprised he can still pull in suck- I mean, customers... at 40 bucks a pop.

That's fine, if you like him and all....I personally don't, but why would you want to see a comedian do the same bits over and over and over....

Very wrong. Have you seen a band or comedian recently? Not saying it's right, but you pay out the ass for live mediocrity these days.

If he still would be at the THSS he would try to stop all the cock talk.
He was a horrible person on drugs, and a great person of drugs. Artie helped more people than the entire show did combined.
THSS decline started during the last Roast where Sal called Beth a horse. After that the censoring started. When Howard cashed in his last merger bonus, he also mentally quit. The final blow was when Sirius didn't renew Artie's contract (and Howard didn't want to have a replacement). If Howard cared anything he would at least told Sirius to use Artie money and hire a comic like Jackie.

Now cock talk 50% of the time and lying the other 50%

Agreed. Artie spoke about how when he was in rehab, Jeff the Drunk called to see how he was doing and then asked to borrow $500 which Artie gave him!

Exactly. That's why I haven't been to a concert in years. Too bad that my fellow consumers still dish out cash like idiots for overpriced "performances" from music "acts" and stand-up "comedians."

You pay for live shows because no one can make money off their recordings because fuckwits think downloading mp3s doesn't have consequences so bands/comedians/etc. have to try and make it up where they can. My cranky two cents.

I don't mean to argue with the point that today's music and comedy are mediocre.
