    http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/1...-96-chicago-bulls-sweep-golden-state-warriors

But Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen evidently doesn't think Golden State would match up well with his record-setting Chicago squad, saying in a recent interview that the 1995-96 Bulls would sweep the Warriors in a hypothetical series between the teams.

"Bulls in four [games]," Pippen said during an interview on "The Dan Patrick Show."

Pippen was then offered a chance to clarify his prediction and was asked whether he thought the Bulls would have an off night against Golden State.

"I don't think we'd take a night off," he said.

Pippen also predicted that he would draw the assignment of guarding league MVP Stephen Curry, while Michael Jordan would guard Klay Thompson.

"I think that my size and length would bother [Curry] a little bit," said Pippen, who also declared that he could limit Curry to fewer than 20 points.

I just can not believe the Bulls would cruise in four games and Pippen holds Curry to under 20 pts a game. Not saying who would win or Pippen couldn't play defense, but it seems a bit of a stretch. When do the Warriors take a night off? Plus Pippen has to know that there will be no aggressive play down low to protect your paint. Everything is a foul today. Saying that though, I guess Jordan would be at the line 35+ times a night ha.

It'd be tough to guard Curry since you can't touch him

The 1996 Seattle Sonics and Orlando Magic would sweep the 2015-16 Warriors.

I'm with Pippen. The Bulls were an amazing team back then, one for the ages. I always enjoyed it when a big game was on the line and everybody on the planet knew they were gonna give it to Jordan and let him do his thing.

No doubt an amazing team in history and Pippen was awesome on that team, but I would be shocked if they rolled over Curry, Klay and the Warriors in an easy 4 game sweep. Shocked, I say. :grad:

I'd take the Bulls. I think people already forget what Michael Jordan brought to the court, both offensively and defensively.

I can't imagine the stats Jordan would have put up with the hand-check and no-touching rules of today. Back in the 80s and 90s, Jordan was molested and grabbed on every drive or movement.

I think i missed watching a handful of Bulls game during the 90s. The 95-96 team was magical. They would have matched-up well w/ the Warriors. I would say Bulls in 5...maybe 6 at worst. They would have sat Longley.
    Rodman
    Kukoc
    Pippen
    Harper
    Jordan

I have nothing but respect for the Warriors. I don't get to see them play as much since they play games so late on the West Coast. If they break the record, kudos to them. Staying healthy and going out there every night is applauded in today's lazy ass NBA.

It all depends on which team the refs would be protecting and preserving the betting line??

Everyone knew gambling was involved and the fixes were in, only after the ref scandal, and the 1st. fake retirement of Jordan (secret NBA punishment) did that shit calm down.

I'm clearly a fan of 80s 90s hoops so bias creeps in. But Bulls in 5.

95-96 rules Curry would be mauled and thrown off his game. Current rules Jordan would average 60 pts a game.
