I’m a Jets fan and I am pretty certain WIAW will agree with me in this Brian Schittenheimer is inept
Horrible move by the seahawks
Hiring Schitty pretty much guaranteed all this happening
Given the amazing Colts offense since he has been there.
Good coaches find a way to win without their starting QB.
How does this assclown keep getting jobs? Does his daddy have that much connections around the league?
Daddy has rapidly progressing Alzheimer's disease. Years ago daddy probably got him in the door, but I seriously doubt he's capable of doing anything now. I think it's more a case of the NFL culture of being comfortable with the familiar.
Thanks. I should have posted, "next decade."
Yet, he missed two easy kicks that would given the Seahawks wins this year. That's the difference between 9-7 and 11-5.
It's not that big of a reach.
What is the reason so many other NFL games are close?
Jesus, you're stupid.
If the offense was an effective unit and the hawks able to convert 3rd downs, run effectively, and actually score points in the first 3 quarters, the team would not have had to lean on a kicker who was working out a case of the shanks.
Whatever, a lot of teams rely on their kicker to make game winning kicks.
Frankly, the Seahawks have done this for years.
As opposed to the offense that left the game in the hands of the kicker?
The field goal is a weapon of the offense and a way to win football games.
The Seahawks have been winning this way for years.
And how is it going for them? What time is thier playoff game this weekend?
It didn't work, the field goal kicker missed two game winning field goals.
Try to follow along, dumbshit.
And in those games how many points were left on the field from the offense not converting plays and downs into points on the board?
All season the team touted themselves as a "second half" team. Problem is there are 2 halves and they left a lot of points on the field for being unable to move the ball.
I can see this is going nowhere.
The offense and the defense put the team in a position to win 11 games this season if the kicker makes two easy kicks.
Or if Carroll didn't fuck up by not going for the field goal in the 1st half against Atlanta and then challenging a call even the crowd knew the refs got correct, the kick would have been closer and the game would have already been tied. Maybe if Carroll recognized the team's limits instead of thinking his "Ra Ra!" shit was going to overcome his mistakes...
Of course, if the defense hadn't given up 33 points to the Titans, none of that would have matter. But for Pete's sake man, your Hawks went 4-4 at home and half those teams didn't make the playoffs. You can only blame your kicker so many times before you sound desperate.
Wilson is about to become the third best QB in the NFC West. Their time is over. Smile because it happened.
The Hawks lost by 8, 6, 3, 3, 6, 35 and 2 points. They won by 3, 28, 6, 21, 3, 6, 11, 14, 6 and 9 points. Great teams win close games, and 5 of their losses were by one score. It's easy to mop up against the Colts or the Cowboys or pre-Jimmy G 49ers, but give them real teams that aren't intimidated by the Legion of Gloom or Carroll's "We're Gonna Win!" energy and you get a 9-7 season without a postseason. With the Rams and 9ers improving, it's only gonna get worse. So blame the kicker. Get the greatest one on earth. Russell Wilson is going to spend the rest of his days crying in the rain and wondering why the rest of his career wasn't as good as the first few years.
But Carroll will be in Florida, so he can't answer that.
The Pats didn't just win that game, they destroyed the Seahawks mentally. Any chance of a dynasty ended on the 1 yard line in Glendale, AZ. The team showed no restraint, no class and no discipline in defeat. Any wonder they never got back to the Super Bowl? Or even close to it?
