Why would anyone think that secret military exercises on US soil are a "good thing"?
Go back to sleep America. Your government is under control. You are free to do as we tell you.

We had a sub launched Trident missile test last night. Not really that big of a deal.

There are many videos of last night's event available on YouTube and LiveLeak, unfortunately almost all are narrated by some idiot who's the product of our state's public education system:

And this "news article" is so poorly written, I'd swear it was posted as a joke. Despite what is implied, air traffic at LAX almost always lands from the east. What Jory Rand is attempting to explain is that, if this exercise closes the airspace over the ocean, then flights will also have to take off toward the east. This will increase noise levels for families living in Inglewood as the takeoffs are significantly louder than the landing approaches. 350 days out of the year the prevailing winds come off the ocean and the planes take off to the west. Many years ago the airport authority purchased all the homes in the neighborhoods between the departure end of the main runways and the beach, so taking off to the west is not an issue.

People are fucking idiots! I've seen this many times over the years, growing up there in SoCal. If they launch large vehicles at Vandenberg AFB just after sun down, the setting sun over the horizon will illuminate the exhaust as it rises. I showed this stupid story to my wife, even she's seen this once when we were in Culver City one night about 15 years ago.

Mystery light freaks out Southern California residents
    By Joe Sutton, CNN

    Updated 1434 GMT (2234 HKT) November 8, 2015

(CNN)Panic and speculation spread Saturday night when a bright white light shot through the night skies in Southern California.

Residents posted a flurry of videos on social media, together with theories of aliens or meteors. Others made panicked calls to law enforcement officials.

But not to worry, U.S. military officials said. It was a planned missile test.

The Navy Strategic Systems Programs held a scheduled missile test flight at sea from USS Kentucky, which is a ballistic missile submarine. The test was conducted off the coast of Southern California, the Pentagon said in a statement.

It said the missile was not armed.

"The tests were part of a scheduled, ongoing system evaluation test," the statement said. "Launches are conducted on a frequent, recurring basis to ensure the continued reliability of the system. Each test activity provides valuable information about our systems, thus contributing to assurance in our capabilities."

Fascinated residents shot video of the light.

"At first, it looked like a gold shooting star," witness Matt McKee said.

"It went from gold and small, burning for a few minutes and turned into this blue spot light. Like at an event held at night -- not like shooting out at us, but a white bright light," he said.

"What was weird, the tail was light and wide and it got bluer and bluer. Then it just burned out and went away."

The Los Angeles International Airport issued a statement this week about the military testing.

"The military airspace to the west of LAX will be active for one week, creating traffic route limitations and requiring LAX to temporarily deviate from over-ocean operations," it said.

The military test will continue until November 12.

I live in Los Banos, about 300miles north/east of LA. And my family and I saw a orange light moving straight up, then dim and vanish.
I already knew about this Military exercise before hand, so, I knew had to be some sort of rocket being launched. But my family being religious and all, think could be a cover up for aliens.

And it looked pretty cool, and few hours later I spotted a satellite moving. love spotting satellites, especially when the sun hits the dish panels and reflects a bright dot in the night sky
