I didn't read it as bitter. I love the show and think Larry David is probably the top genius of TV comedy, but I'm never visiting either... seems like a silly concept.

I actually appreciate the show more now in reruns. every show is a gem. if I had to have one show running while I do shit around the house it would be Seinfeld, and or curb of course.

I've been binge watching the entire series on dvd. The shows still hold up. The first two seasons were weak, they were still finding their way. Kramer was a weird shut in who never left his apartment and George was more Woody Allen-ish in the beginning. Everything jelled together by the third season. The one thing I never noticed while watching in syndication was how the quality dropped somewhat after Larry David left. It's more noticeable while watching them all in chronological order. It's still a brilliant show that was able to get away with a LOT of un-PC stuff and make it funny. I doubt they'd get away with it on network television in todays crybaby climate.

I wish I were in NY. I'd love to visit that recreation.

Seinfeld set broken by man's terrible Kramer entrance (Video)
    by Dan Zinski 45m ago

Hulu celebrated their first day running Seinfeld episodes by opening a full-sized replica of the iconic Seinfeld apartment. Hey great idea!

Not such a great idea: Encouraging fans to enter the set by sliding through the door like Kramer. This guy tried it and…oops.

The failed Kramer perpetrator Tim McGeever explained what happened (via Hollywood Reporter):

“As they are kind of funneling you into the apartment, you have the option to go right in or if you want to make a Kramer entrance you just have to wait a couple more minutes,” says McGeever. “I figured, this was my big opportunity.”

Fans wishing to make a Kramer entrance can pass their cell phones to a Hulu employee who films them as they barge in.

“Knowing this was my only shot to get it right, the pressure was insurmountable,” says McGeever. “I had this idea in my head for some sort of twist-slide move. But the next thing I knew I blacked out and the security guard was using expletives and everyone’s faces were just jaw-dropped.”

Fortunately for McGeever, his poorly executed spinning Kramer entrance only did cosmetic damage to the set and it was quickly fixed. Hulu says they’re keeping the set open and they’re still going to let people do Kramer entrances. But maybe take people’s backpacks first? Yeah.
