    Kid kills 4 people and paralyzes his friend and gets no jail time. I've been locked up in the NYC tombs for 36 hours for an unpaid traffic ticket.

    If I was a family member or friend of one of the victims, I would follow the kid around with a video camera at all times just to catch him screwing up his probation, then I would go straight to the media with it to force these assholes hands to do something.

    This is consistent with the American justice system. If you have the money to pay competent attorneys to spend some real time defending you with delay tactics, money for shrinks to testify, money for experts, etc, you will spend far less time in prison.

    Justice may be blind but her pockets have scales that count money.
